NFS 6: OEdit Public Beta Saturday, 30.11.2002
Today Arushan released a Public Beta version of the tool OEdit. OEdit is a program that opens and lets you move vertices of some .o and .ord/.orl files which contain model data. These .o and .ord/.orl files are found in some of Electronic Art's newer games which use the EAGL library.

NFS 6: 12 new Addon-Cars Wednesday, 27.11.2002
Again I made an update of addon-Cars for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. 10 of them are so-called "colorpacks" by ASS. Whocares, with 14 new colors, some of them with german policeskins. The two other cars are a Pick Up from the traffic by Psychedelic_Leo and a nice Dodge Viper GTS with the textures from Nice 2 by DaWu. :)

NFS 6: Editing News Wednesday, 27.11.2002
A german programmer with the nickname TheFallen is also working a little bit on the encryption of the .o files, but with OpenGL rendering. With the help of Arushan he also can display the 3D mesh of the cars, and his next project is to make with the use of the vehicles.ini a window, which shows a preview of the car, how it will look like witht he textures you actually edit.
Perhaps he will also add functionality, to move UV maps of a car.
Maybe even NfsWiLL, will take his hands on track editing in NFS HP 2.

Whenever there is more news you can read it here.

NFS 6: Game Photographer Wednesday, 27.11.2002
Ariel Santanelli, who already made tools for socceraccess.com, mostly for Fifa 2003, is working on a new program called "Game Photographer". Because Electronic Arts was so gentle and left out the Alt+P combination for making a screenshot in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, this tool might be interesting for everyone. It just "photographs" the screen, which works with most games, not just Hot Pursuit 2 and Fifa 2003.
You can make up to 20 screenshots and save them in the BMP or JPEG format. Another feature is the Screenshot Sequencer, which makes a sequence of screenshots within a timeinterval you can set, so it makes a little video.
The program will be released on December 7th, and in contrast to tools like Hypersnap DX, the advantage is that it is freeware.

After a long pause there is another update for NFS Porsche. OneOfAKind has sent us 3 new Porsche Addon-Cars, and X-Tender a McLaren, unfortunately still with the Porsche mesh.
The NFS Hot Pursuit 2 car is made by superfly and has a great new texture. Just look yourself:

NFS 6: Editor makes progress Sunday, 24.11.2002
The much awaited editor OEdit is now in the version Alpha 2. Jeroen from our affiliate ND4SPDWorld could test the latest version and he made some interesting experiences. So he could for example view the model of the chopper (picture) and move some verticles in the tracks (Trackpicture 1). In the curve in the tunnel he moved some verticles down, and when he drove it, there was a big hole in the track: Trackpicture 2 and Trackpicture 3.
Other funny changes are for example flying bushes (Trackpicture 4) or a big hill (Trackpicture 5). Unfortunately you just can move the verticles but not add any. But just this feature is in my opinion a big improvement.

By the way: With this version of OEdit it is also possible to open the stadiums in Fifa 2003 (and the faces of the players), which was not possible before. So the whole Fifa 2003 community also waits for the tool OEdit. Let's hope it can be released soon.
